50 years since Buddy Holly’s death
Died 3 February 1959.
22 forever.
"That Makes It Tough"
Memories will follow me forever
Though I know my dreams cannot come true.
All those precious things we shared together.
Time goes by, I’ll still remember you.
And that makes it tough, oh so tough,
When you tell me you don’t love me.
That makes it tough, oh so tough,
When you say you don’t care for me no more.
Labels: anniversaries, buddy holly, that makes it tough

HELLO!!!!
I love this post and I love it that you remember his life.
Great to see you. Email to follow.
p.s. made some movie reviews...if you have time you might find them fun. I'm hoping to inspire your reviews such as they are and all...
Ah, moi aussi! Over at Fluffy Stuffin'...
Wow I havent heard this name in a long time. My husband doesnt like his music and I havent had his cd's in along time. I should really replace his greatest hits cd sometime.. Hope all is well with the two of you.
Hey * I'd never have guessed you're a Buddy Holly fan, but all the better: so am I. Have you seen the Guardian's brilliant gallery of unseen Buddy photos?
Really hope this sudden bout of winter doesn't keep us from seeing you guys this weekend - and The Wrestler (Red must've mentioned I was quite impressed by it...?)
Candy: Thanks. Not a Feb 3 or Sept 7 goes by that I don't think of Buddy Holly. And often between times, too. I've started reading your reviews and will finish tomorrow between work stints!
Ron: Très bien, frère!
Tweetey: Go make that purchase!
Byron: A fan of some standing. About 30 years, to be precise. And always buying anything new that comes along. Really hope we can get together for the movie and eats. The Wrestler is the only film I care for this year so far!
Byron (again): Yes, I had seen those pix earlier today, sorry. But thanks for the link!
wow, 50 years!
Reckon Gary Busey did a great Buddy Holly in the movie. What you reckon?
Still there then?
This post bought back so many very fond memories - dancing with my first sweetheart - this guy (Buddy Holly) was/is such an icon - jees, I shouldn't admit this - as Mr. Anchovy says - 50 years!
hello... hapi blogging... have a nice day! just visiting here....
wow, you are quieter than i've been!
hope alls well.
Hey there you are. Miss you and Red both but I wont be back on Facebook. I wasnt on there enough to justify having it anylonger. I am on here though. So stop by and say hi once in a while. Still need to spend the money on this Buddy Holly CD with his best hits. Like Peggy Sue and a few others I liked..
