Sunday stuff
1. So, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow yesterday: six more weeks of winter, folks...
2. Also yesterday, it was 29 years since Sid Vicious died. That crazy fool.
3. Also yesterday, it was mine and the missus's ten-and-a-half-year-iversary.
4. Today, 49 years since Buddy Holly died. Next year will be the big one.
5. Tomorrow, I start my backpiece tattoo. Three-hour appointment. Estimated 25 hours' work in all.

Your mentioning Phil's prediction has me curious: is it widely accepted that his prognosis covers the entirety of the Northern Hemisphere? I always thought he would be limited to North America, if not just the U.S.A.
I suppose that's a nice card to play in international dialogue. Sure, America has an internationally despised foreign policy and is widely seen as a nation of violent, gun-toting racists, but damned if we don't still lead the world in rodent-based meteorology.
R.I.P. Sid. Never forgotten.
don't believe Punxsutawney Phil....instead, believe Wiarton Willie, from up here in Canada, who has predicted an early spring.
29 years? blimey where'd that go?
can't wait to see your tat when it's done!
25 hours...ouch. Actually with my first one it was only 1.5 hours and the artist had to stop and ask if i was ok..i fell asleep. The one n my back...it had a few painful moments though. I'm now working with a tattoo artist down island to design my 1/2 sleeve..yay
congrats on the 10.5 yrs
In bocca al lupo tomorrow for the tattoo!! I will be thinking of you all inked up -hope the needling won't be too stressful.
Dont think I can take another 6 weeks of this weather. I want the long summer evenings and eating outdoors with a nice chilled bottle of vino bianco.
damn phil..I can barely handle the freezing temps
dang... that's a lot of needle time. can't wait to see the finished product though :)
and congrats to you and red!
10.5 man...thats great. Mmmm...back piece. I can't wait to see some pics.
you two count the half year? WOW! I'm impressed. Poor Bill is lucky if I remember the whole year.
29 years already? Wow. Now I feel old.
