Oscar day!
So today is the day they announce the Oscar nominees. At 1.30pm I will be sat in front of the TV, watching them unveiled live and then seeing what Mark Kermode thinks of it all. And then I'll be back with my own thoughts and maybe a few predictions, too.

I hope 'Control' and the new Coen Brothers' will get some nominations. And Kevin Bacon.
I'm a little deficient in the TV area, but I'm curious. My favorite critics have been hailing 2007 as a great movie year.
The nice thing is that, with the across-the-Atlantic delay, I've gotten to catch up on some of the late-in-the-year releases.
I haven't seen many great films this year. But I have heard good stuff about Control.
