Heath Ledger dead at 28

Shit. I had no idea what Candy's comment meant in my previous post: "upset about HL". Then I turned to one of the forums I go to, and there in blue and white were the words "Heath Ledger RIP", and suddenly the initials HL jumped out at me.

It's not like I was his biggest fan, but I thought he was always good in the films I saw him in, most memorably in the lead in Casanova, a film that the missus and I unexpectedly enjoyed so much that we bought it.

I will be neither the first nor the last to say this is a sad loss to the acting and film-making world.

I thought he was quite a good actor, and very handsome too.
Shame at the way he died, alone (always makes me think).
HL is in the new Batman film, no? His death will certianly draw in the crowds now.

he indeed does play the joker in the new batman film.

when myself and wifey heard it on the news last night we both said "no" out loud!
again, niether big fans as such, but such a shock that one so young has left us.
i have a feeling some dirt will arise!

I've got Candy in my stack of movies to watch right now, I think I'll watch in his honor tonight.

He was definitely a good actor, and one of the rare smart crowds that roam Hollywood.

I liked the dude... too bad!

Yes, Casanova was a really wonderful surprise. I loved Lords of Dogtown.

It is not only sad he died alone but that it likely was some terrible concoction of a virus, illegal and prescription drugs...an accident likely combined with depression...oh it just upsets me...I take these losses of artists very hard.

Martha's que must be longer than the names listed at the Vietnam War memorial by now, ha.

I never saw Casnova - I was under the impression that it had to suck, but a friend today mentioned she thought it was really good. Interesting!

Yeah...i always loved his film pressence even if i didnt like the movie so much. I think he has created an immortal Joker and will never be forgotten as an actor. It sucks though.
