“Dangerous” phone-tapper jailed for four months

Here in the UK, over the course of the past two days, we have been hearing tales of paedophiles and kiddie-porn collectors not receiving jail sentences because of a recent decision by Home Secretary John Reid (see here, here, and here).

Reid has told British judges that the prisons are full to bursting, and so only dangerous criminals should be given jail sentences. This has led, as mentioned above, to the aformentioned "perverts" basically being set free.

And yet there seems to be room in prison for the News of the World's royal editor, who has been given a four-month sentence for hacking into the voicemail messages of royal aides. A private investigator found guilty of the same crime for the same newspaper has received a six-month spell at her majesty's pleasure (see here).

So, the question raised is: Are these two men a greater risk to society at large than one man with a history of sexual abuse on children and one man who downloads kiddie-porn pictures?

Well, all the so-called "white collar" crimes should do community service and not even enter jai. I have another idea, tax cheats, frauds, laundering...they should be put into a new tax bracket that takes off way more tax and hounds them for luxury purchases, any second tvs, second houses, boats anything.

Sexual predators need to go to mental health jails. Period. All kinds of fucking therapy groups. Let them rot there. Make them speak about their sickness on television programs so we all know their faces. A whole different building of jails for them. No computers, no tvs. Fuck em.

In fact...make all those fucking white collar criminals do their community service with the sexual predators, there ya go.

Crime rates will drop if there is a special tax on white collar criminals release and who have to serve sexual predators.

Fuck em all.

Same shit here. Except, our jails are full of pot smokers busted with extra weed on them instead of telephone spys. It's Crap.

T: Goes without saying, doesn't it?

Martha: Isn't it absurd? Yeah, you can always count on me to cheer you up, right?

Candy: Girl, you are so right. It is insane that white-collar crime is punished so badly. That's not to say fraudsters etc don't deserve a good strong sentence, but in light of paedos being set free, this is just beyond ridiculous.

Olives: I can imagine it's a worldwide problem...

and perhaps the paedos will have a better chance of letting the Catholics allow them to adopt than gay couples...

For some reason, this post only showed up in Google reader today. Anyhow, totally agree! How can listening to Prince William waffling on about some recording equipment he has hired be more dangerous than paedophilia? The legal system in this country is seriously fucked up.
