Am I bored of blogging?

It's just, man, it takes me an age to get around to writing anything these days! Time was I used to do five posts a day; these days five a month is a lot. And even my movie reviews (such as they are) have taken a hit.

Anyway, it's a new year. I don't do resolutions, and even if I did, I probably wouldn't resolve to post more often, just because I wouldn't want to feel I'm posting just for the sake of it.

Christmas was lovely and relaxing, though. New Year's Eve was nice up until the neighbours decided they weren't being loud enough. Once they'd rectified that, they went on at the same noise level until 3am, essentially forcing out of our own lounge, unable to use our own bedroom, and therefore up into the office. And even there it wasn't quiet -- just quieter.

I've started the year well: by heading into London Tahn for a new tattoo already (yesterday), so I'll probably post a pic soon. But these days I'm all about Flickr and Facebook. The former because I pay for it, so I'll damn well use it; the latter because it's just quicker and easier to drop a quick note instead of a post sometimes.

All of which is not leading up to saying I'm quitting this motherfucker. Just it might be a while between posts. So same as now, really.

If you're reading: Happy New Year to you. I hope '09 treats you and your loved ones well. Peace.

I love my fickr (and Picnik for editing pics) but I'm not as enthusiastic about Facebook. I hate being bombarded but former "friends" I knew 10 years ago who I could barely stand back then. Plus there are things I blog about that I don't want some of the people on my friend list to read (ie family, coworkers). We miss your great posts but am glad you're not giving it up completely!

Happy New Year!

I'm spending more time on Facebook and Twitter these days, it is easier to post a quick message than write a full post.

Happy New Year.

I've avoided facebook so far, so I won't see you there. I'll watch for your posts here though, even if they might be occasional. Cheers.

I'm on Facebook as you know but rarely go there. Find it a pain.

As to blogging. I thought I'd tired of it several times but found I came back after a rest. Also deleted my blogs under the impression I was quitting.

I think you just need a rest until your muse is rekindled.

Have a good 09

I don't do flicker and I don't do facebook so don't give up this motherfucker completely, ah?
Just post when you feel like it; I always check every day anyway :)

P.S. But who says that blog posts need to be long? Who? Its your blog so your posts are yours, no?

Life is a pendulum swinging. I find Facebook too restrictive...too coprporate...too "the man"...but isn't it funny how they've tried to make it more like a blog? But I check into Facebook...t's good for locating people but it ain't artistic at all...

Writing a blog can be draining and demanding...so I get when you're busy it doesn't seem so rewarding.

The rotten part is...you actually have people who love reading what you write! Lots of comments and visitors...I say that is a special situation in blogging you have.

I've become a fan of Facebook - NEVER thought that would happen - I truly love to write - but its quick and succinct - usually - anyway I'll keep tuned in - you sure have some beautiful bodywork!
