Yeah - there are a lot of bad to mediocre King adaptations out there, but obviously The Green Mile and the Shawshank Redemption are amazing - ALSO, the best King horror adaptation is THE MIST - if you haven't seen it, you should definitely jot that down and make a note of it, b/c It was great.
You should try out the gunslinger, its pretty intriguing.
