It’s Monday!
Oh, don't you just love Mondays? Time was that I used to hate them, just like most other people. But these days Mondays have taken on a whole new meaning.
You see, because I tend to work all weekend just lately, the reason I love Mondays is that I feel justified again in working. And also I know that most other people are having to do it too. If I've got to, then I derive some twisted pleasure out of knowing others are working as well!
That's not to say there's nothing good about working weekends. The great thing about it is this: most of our colleagues/clients/employers (call them what you will) don't work the weekend. This means that our working days become far more fruitful because we are not constantly answering the phone, responding to e-mails, and generally being pushed and pulled in several directions at once.
We did, however, manage to find time to pop out for Sunday lunch, which for me was a bacon cheeseburger, while Red opted for the altogether more healthy tuna niçoise salad.
So, all in all, not much to report today. My latest bits of ink are healing nicely. My weight is yo-yoing like Ricki Lake's. I watched Mean Girls on TV and think Lindsay Lohan is not so annoying as I had expected. And I've posted a new review over at Such As They Are. And now... to work. Catch you all later, blogpals!
Last-minute edit: How could I forget that we've also started watching this year's Big Brother? Christ on a bike, what a shower of cunts they are, too...

You've got the hots for the LiLo! Hahaha! I'd rather you thought highly of the lovely Rachel McAdams, but then she kinda reminds me of your sis, so that would be a bit (okay, a lot) creepy.
Haha! I didn't say hots. Though it is nice to see a girl with a bit of meat on her doing well in Hollywood, no?
yuk lindsay lohan..
( although i really kind of like her acting style..sort of )
she's just a clueless whore.
but ...yum cheeseburger!
I worked weekends for a while, and basically thought it was just wrong. I couldn't wait to get back to a weekday schedule.
Big Brother? Oh *, my opinion of you just went down a notch. But then again, I'm watching the White Rapper Show so who am I to judge?
Lindsay Lohan? Sure at the time she made mean girls, she was nice and curvy and hadn't fallen into the Paris Party crowd. Now? All attitude and anorexia. Not attractive at all. Rachel McAdams IS a much better choice ... with the exception of the sister connection.
I have so far avoided Big Brother, it is only a matter of time until I get sucked in though. I know there were two impossibly stupid twins, they might be fun to watch, and a granny who writes porno novels.
Monday sucks, I spend the whole morning reading emails sent by bastards who work weekends. :-)
Your not alone my brotha...I work all week at Fox...thursday nights and friday nights at a movie theater and Sunday at Fox...
Saturday is teh blessed day from heaven.
I liked mean girls. they were very bad. Funny and true. We get Big Brother only in the summer time. So ours won't start til July. But we are summer BB watchers.
I'll go check out your review of Mena Girls in a sec..a.ctually I am behind in reading your reviews..
I think Lindsay Lohan is an amazing acotr. she really has "it". Yes, she seems to be a car wreck but she really is a good actor. I think she is beautiful too and no wonder she has so much attention. Last night was the MTV Movie Awards. They are my favourite awards show for entertainment value..although this years seemed a little tense. The host was Sarah Silverman...and it was difficult to tell if the crowd really thought she was funny....she was very Joan Rivers, which I found hilarious. Paris Hilton showed up on the pink carpet (yes it was pink) and the interviewer asked how she was doing...she goes to jail in two days. It was the most compelling tv...I might try to find some of it on youtube...Paris said she was "scared"...and wanted to ahve ome fun before she went to jail and hoped young people might learn from her mistakes.
Then Sarah Silverman was doing her routines and talked about Paris going to jail and the jail wante dto make her feel more comfortable so they painting the bars of her cell like penises. Sarah said she was worried Paris might break her teeth.
The camera of course went to Paris and she looked very uncomfortable and then she smiled...compelling tv again! Paris gets points for grace under fire.
I love all the stuff that people put Christ on. Does Christ wear a helmet on a bike, or does it go without saying that he never falls off his bike? You know, on account of that perfection thing and all.
MMmmmmmm...bacon cheeseburger. Drool.
I liked Mean Girls. I was also a bit surprised by how unannoying she was too.
shower of cunts might be the greatest group insult ever. i have to use that in a meeting today.
Christ on a bike indeed! I too started watching Big Brother for purely professional purposes and ... well I fell asleepo. There's not even anything to get angry about anymore. Just many very thick, unbelievably superficial people in a room.
i worked over the weekend too... it sort of helped that the weather wasn't so great... I have had a weekend of pizza... Friday, Saturday, and Sunday...
yeah, I kind of like Lindsay too... not "like" but... she has something...
why are we so apologetic for liking this miss lohan!
mean girls was SO funny. i think lohan is annoying in real life, but she does a good job.
glad you are enjoying (enjoyed? i guess it's probably past tense 'cause i'm all the way over here) your monday
ooohhh...I was gonna try and put the Sarah Silverman slamming Paris Hilton on my blog from youTube but it's been blocked!
Try to check it out, good stuff...you'll love it!
Yes, the Lilo is strangely endearing in Mean Girls but I remind myself it was a role and she is an actress and is stilla cunt in real life. A skinny cunt at that.
Big Brother - yes, saw about ten mins the other day and gagged. All those shallow, vain, preening teen slappers. Dreadful.
Puss
I have Never seen Big brother. Just can't get into it.
I have seen Mean Girls more times than I can count (prettn girl in the house) and while I do agree that Li Lo is annoying as hell, it is the only movie with her in it that I can sit through. Pretty funny, actually...
I tried leaving a message this morning but couldn't. Why? Coz it's fucking Tuesday! Today was my first day back and it hurt.
Plus, now you tell me you watch BB. What does Red say about that?
Just last night I said to *A that I just couldn't watch one hour of BB every night for the rest of the summer. After one week I'm already exhausted by the housemates' utter inanity.
Cynnie: You have such a way with words: "a clueless whore". Classic!
Mr A: It is wrong. But like I say, it has its upsides.
Karen: Red thinks every blonde looks like my sister, seemingly! BB is inane shit, and I don't think we'll watch much more.
Pie: I didn't know about the porn-writing granny. I never know anything about these people because I don't read "news" papers.
Shea: Ah, the blessèd Saturday. I hope you make the most of 'em and not too many fish get killed.
Pool: Mean Girls was good, wasn't it? I liked it. Hope your BB is better than ours...
Candy: The review of Mean Girls is probably a while away yet. I'm not sure Lohan is amazing, but she did a really good job, considering all the preconceptions that viewers must bring to her work these days. I have mixed feelings of Silverman. I always watch her on Conan when she's on, but I'm not sure I find her funny. But I think one day I might, if you know what I mean. I can imagine a young crowd hating her!
Mist: Jesus don't wear no crash helmet. He ain't no pussy, man.
Lee: Hey, I'm so glad that I'm not alone in liking Mean Girls. I thought it was going to be some sort of Post Secret affair.
F/ball: I hope the new phrase went down well!
Anti-Crap: I feel one has to watch a bit of it. But it's so debilitating!
_z.: We shouldn't have to apologize for the girl, right?! Sounds like your weekend was a little pizza heaven, huh?
Martha: It was funny. I laughed out loud several times!
Candy: I'll definitely try to find that clip.
G/puss: Yes, it seems she went all skinny. I had no idea. I know nothing about celeb gossip... And BB is just so fucking awful. I watch it with my mouth wide open.
Biddie: Wow, people really love Mean Girls, it seems! Who knew?
Milla: I think the BB watching is about to come to an end. Red watches it too!
Red: It's hard work, isn't it?
shower of cunts... seems to be the rainy season
