Too busy to blog

It's not got quite the same punk ring to it as as "Too Drunk to Fuck", has it? Imagine, though, if the Dead Kennedys were making it big now. Maybe their most famous hit would be "Too Busy to Blog". Or "Too Tired to Blog", since that scans better.

But of course I'm simply making a statement in the title here about my own lack of words on screen these last few days.

Thanks for all recent comments, though. I always like to try to respond to them all, but that too is beyond my temporal capabilities. Or something. If only I were Doctor Who. Or Hiro. Or even Marty McFly. And I could go back and literally make time to write shit.

Oh well. I'm not. So back to work I go. Hope you all are having a lovely Thursday. It's hot in the office today.

Tell you what, as a bit of colour, I'll upload a sneak peek at a bit of our new kitchen.

I dig the counters!

There was this picture of Paulina Porizkova back in the 80s wearing a DK "Too Drunk to Fuck" tshirt. From that moment on, I knew I had to listen to the Dead Kennedys.

Like the toaster. DK's were the second US band I got into after The Ramones of course.

I like the cool 3D brick effect tiles. I'd rather be Dr Who than Marty McFly but I'd settle for either if it meant getting out of work quicker.

Is that a butcher block counter with subway tiles on the walls? And they are in my favorite non color beige??? Is that cabinet color true white or more mayonaise white?? I think I got the vapors. You are creating my future kitchen!!!

So what was wrong with taking a photo of the opposite side of the room with the nice swartz spices? Nice kitchen, homely dare I say it. I like the Hiro references (as well as the DK) Im trying so hard to not do the usual thing and watch the torrents Ive downloaded on the mac and Im actually watching it weekly - I have nothing really good to watch without battlestar..*sighs*

Thanks for the kind words, all.

G/puss: Kentish, perhaps. But not so much in my area of Kent. They'd sooner rip it out here, methinks.

Pool: I'd call the cupboards beige, or cream, and the tiles honey, or caramel perhaps? Glad to come and help in your kitchen!

Biddie: I'm doing me best!

Judith: Ah, you are observant. I'll post the other side soon, and the lovely tap (faucet). Homely is good, I think.

Cappy: Yer not supposed to notice that! The wonky socket on the right is old and not the new sparky's fault. But there's no excuse for the wonky socket on the left, I must say; nor for the wonky sockets on the other side of the room. Might add these to my snagging list!
