Colour me happy

Well, Friday the 13th was not unlucky for me, since I went to tattooist Xam and got my newest tattoo finished (with the exception of perhaps a little bit of touching up later to hide the old covered-up tattoo as well as possible).

Here's the finished job:

snake+panther

And here are a couple of details:

panther head

snake head

The one bad thing about my day was my dietary intake. I ate a pizza before leaving home, a burger before getting tattooed, and a Chinese takeaway when I got back. Eww, that's a very bad day's food by anyone's standards...

Red: Yeah, bad day at panther rock, huh?

Lee: I like the imagery, and I needed something with some dark colours to cover the old piece. My left arm is Oriental style, and this arm is going to be my "old-school" Americana arm; so what better way to start that than with a piece that seems to be symbolic of East vs West.

T: Thank you. Best get saving those pennies...

That looks fabulous *A! Great work. And don't worry about the food, as long as you don't eat like that all the time.

That is such a great tattoo Asterisco! Davvero molto, molto bello. I'm proud of you, sonny!!
As for the food, well, that's all to be forgiven since your body went through a lot of colouring today.

Holy aspic! Your tat is vivid and strong. Its awesome! Now, about your eating - did it help Red? I'm guessing no.

Karen: Thanks. It's becoming quite rare that we have takeout food at all, but with me having to be out for a good chunk of the day, it's just the way things went...

Milla: Grazie bella! And thanks for the forgiveness.

Mr A: Thank you. I'm really pleased with it.

Olives: It is vivid and strong, isn't it? Now I need to keep it that way with good sunblock and/or a sleeved shirt in the sun. Red had only the Chinese, so don't worry!

I like the shading - very pretty. Eat more pizza - build up the panther, then he might have a fighting chance...

Asterisk, that is more like a piece of walking art. I love it!

You know I'm a herpetologist, which means I love snakes of all varieties. ;)

Martha: That's something to look forward to then, no?

Candy: It's well hidden, that old one, isn't it?

Suze: I often get people look at my tattoos when I'm out and about, but I'm sure even more people stared than usual yesterday, even grown men! Why did I guess you might like snakes?

Angel: Cheers, pet. He's a damn fine artist, and no messing.

Those are some fine specimens ! You got them done on the 13th isnt 13 lucky for tattooists? And Oh sorry to hear about your betty page tshirt Im sure it looked the business with your tatts - you should submit the new tatt to bizzarre mag

Winter: Nothing to be scared of really. Sure it's a bit painful, but that fades. You just need to pick something that you like -- ideally something that you think you'll like for a long time -- and then choose a really good artist, even if it means travelling a little way.

Judith: I don't know if 13 is lucy or unlucky for tattooists, but I came out of it all right! Not sure about submitting stuff to Bizarre. All tattooed folk should probably boycott it, what with its silly notion of "picking Jodie Marsh's new tattoo"! Thanks for stopping by.
