The times have changed, and now so have I

Well, eventually I went and done it. Finally, today, this twenty-sixth day of January, in the year of our Lord two thousand and seven, the Blogger Machines allowed me to switch to New Blogger.

Is it better? Is it worse? Time will tell, but I too have been blighted by the alteration of commenters' names to simply "anonymous" in many places. Will this ever be fixed? Will it not? Time will tell.

Oh Blogger Machines, why don't you get things right before making people shift over? Isn't that what Beta testing is all about? The swines.

Hello! I am still around, but have been slagging on the comments...

I hear you about the anonymous comment thingy. That is the only thing I have noticed on the negative. But then again, I don't post as much as you.

Really enjoyed the Spain posts, by the way

It is a lot easier to change the colour and the format. I was stuck with my old style for ages because I couldn't be arsed faffing about with the HTML code.

Once I swapped to Beta I had revamped my blog in about 5 minutes.

I find posting a breeze and fast since switiching.

Um, clever you for noticing that the anonymous yesterday was me...I didn't even notice that I had posted under anonymous. That is my fault because I often forget to log in when I start surfing blogs. So it sends me right to anon when I think it says "me". I am trying to remember to log in now.

I love the Blog Beta ssytem personally. Smooth otherwise.

Soupy: He's not my Lord either, but you know I was being poetic and shit. I still haven't ordered my BFK dvd but will soon.

_z.: Yeah, it looks fine except for the bugs, which I guess are retro bugs and won't affect future usage, so what can you do?

Camie: Good to see you out to play. Yeah, if that's the only complaint, then it's not so bad, granted.

Snowb: Thanks.

Anon: Thanks.

Martino: I quite enjoy the messing around with html to change the template, but I don't do it often, especially since I still like what I've got here. But when it comes time to change, I'm sure I'll reap the rewards.

Martha: Because they're mean and nasty is why!

Candy: Your comment came thru in my email as being from you, so you must have been logged in, but once I switched to Beta it anonymized you.

Olives: I thank you.

Every time I login I am told the new version of the Wheel awaits me. But I would only switch to the new version because of the privacy control (I have a blog stalker) and that's it. Nothing else. I love the quirks of the old blogger!!
Also, I am crap with computers so playing around with templates etc etc would mean disaster...

Milla: I changed because I think eventually we'll all have to, but I was perfectly happy with the old Blogger. I enjoyed that one had to "learn" a little html in order to change things. It challenged me. This "join the dots" version is a bit too undemanding, I fear.

I’ve been soo thinking about it...but I shudder to think how long mine would take on dial-up.

Then again if I start now I can go have a 2hr sleep before I gotta get up fer work...hmmm.

Just saying...Bastid says "word verification" but gives me no bloody word to verify. Until I publish it anyway...then I get the actual letters. I'm on tah it's ways.

ok 3rd attempt...I fooked that one up. dyddee...should be alright now.
