He is off my social list. First by thinking he can be some kind of moral role model for a young woman Miss USA...and then, second, for calling Rosie ugly, fat, get a freidn to steal her girlfriend...I think he might be seriously mental. He definately has some kind of personality disorder that I think was kept well hidden up until he revealed it last night.
Anyways I know you like his show...and I had even stood up for him when you posted about him before, but he can suck my...well he sucks.
I don't expect celelbrities to be intelligent, but this was a real shocker *...just curious what you thought...I feel so grossed out by him, I can hardly look at the footage.
Lee: Those are funny, but no, I don't think Cat would find them amusing at all. But then, he doesn't find many things amusing...
Snowc: Aw, it'd be fun if your kitty had a go too.
Candy: I had read about this on IMDb but hadn't seen any footage, so thanks for the link. I think you're right on one point: The Donald is a bit mental, but I think that's always been kind of clear. You remember his rant about tattooed people, ball players in particular? I think he's a bit intolerant of anyone who bucks the safe norm. And that disappoints me, cos I think he's an okay guy.
I also think he ought to put his brain in gear before he opens his mouth. He could have said all that he said without it sounding like schoolyard bickering. And name-dropping head honchos at ABC just makes him look petty. All that said, I think Rosie went a bit far. She got personal about him first, about his marriages and affairs, but I think her biggest mistake was in undermining his business acumen, saying he's gone bankrupt. He can't afford to have his professionalism challenged.
So I kind of think they were both wrong. But Rosie started it. And The Donald's sure gonna finish it. And I wouldn't want to be in her shoes...
Ah...yes I think you are correct he will probably take her to hell because of the bankruptcy thing.
I saw The View at the time when Rosie started saying all that and more. I was laughing it was so true and so funny. Now see, I guess I don't really like too much authority.
And I think Rosie made an excellent point about why should a man who has had affairs with each marriage and children coming out of those affairs...be the voice of morality for a young person?
Are you saying you don't think Trump has been bankrupt? I thought he had a couple of times too...back in the 90's or is that a rumour? Wait...I googled it...
But mostly I am just enjoying this latest "celebrity fued" it's like the artform of the ninties was "makeovers" (Douglas Coupland, I wish I had said that) and now the artform and entertainment of the times are these celebrity fueds.
Yes, you're right Trump has always been weird, Stagg said the same thing last night, I made him watch it too ha ha...but I just never saw it like that, like major major problem.
Basically...in this one I think you're right he is gonna make her PAY somehow...but Rosie, who could hate Rosie? She is actually a very thoughtful moral person.
Plus, she's funny as hell.
In this battle she wins for me because she did it with humor, I had tears coming out when she was doing her imitation. And Donald, he was just a suit at the end of the day. The man...old bitter and resentful of his own guilt. He did have affairs, the joke is he has Miss USA so he can find his next affair...he's never gonna approve of a girl going out to night clubs and having fun like Miss USA...because that means she might have her own mind and ideas and life. Nope, I saw a sexist pig on this one.
It's been a long time since I'd seen a good old fashioned sexist pig.
But oh it's been a hoot, he was back at it again last night!
Candy: I don't really have an opinion on Rosie. We don't get any of her shows over here (as far as I'm aware), so I only see her on awards things or guest appearances or stuff like that. I think she's right about who made him moral guardian of 20-y-o women, but I think dragging his affairs and kids into it was a bit low.
Yes, I knew he had been bankrupt a couple of times, but I feel Rosie didn't make it clear that she was talking about the past, and the implication could be that he is currently bankrupt or on the verge. I guess that is what he took offence at.
She was funny. Her impression was funny. But perhaps she went too personal.
He, though, should have risen above it and simply said: "Rosie has said some dumb things, and I'm going to sue her." End it there. Don't start calling her fat and ugly. It's unbecoming and makes you look cheap.
Oh, and for sure he's a sexist. I thought that was a given!
(you'd love Rosie...she's a combination of knowing what and how to do the right thing, silly humour and baldy raw humour mixed with actually getting her hands dirty and helping others)
I guess since Trump was on tv with a press conference saying he was giving the coke sniffing party girl a second chance...he kind of opened the door for criticism. Rosie is not alone wondering why he should be talking about kids. His family life was one affair after another. A lot of women are sik of the Trump. You know I gave hima break about the tats shrugging it off, as he's a suit. But now I actually think he is a bad person.

I've got a feeling your cat wouldn't be as amused as I by our dog treats.
I will head over to cat blog in just a second...
I half expected you to post about Donald Trump.

I'm sick of these guys running the world.
Oh I'm pretty much with you on most of this, Candy, esp with "sick of these guys running the world".
