All Saints’ Day
It would have been my father-in-law's birthday today. He was a great and kind man, too often (i.e., always) putting others before himself. I knew him for just six or seven years, but he was always a true gent.
I've written and rewritten several things here, but I've deleted them all in favour of saying simply: Some people are born on exactly the right day of the year.

wow! what an appropriate day for such a man to celebrate his birth... red's tribute is truly beautiful... i'm so glad you were both blessed by his life... and i'm overjoyed to know that red feels she has married a man of similar calibur
feliz dia de los santos! today is the day to remember those who have passed on and those who are now residing with the saints that protect us. (as my grandma would say)
i gotta get back to work but when i get the chance i will head over to RED's bloggy and read up. :)
