This was taken a few minutes before sunset, at 5:36pm, and despite the electricity lines and the horrendous cloud cover, I felt it was the most evocative of the approximately 30 pictures I took within that 10-minute period between 5:35 and 5:45.
We'll give this a try - it is now 2:31 over here in the States, so we have a bit of while to go. Personally I would rather stumble around in the dark in the mornings than give up that elusive hour in the evenins.
S'a nice photo mate. The gap in that lower cumulus letting you see the last of the light of the setting sun refected of the stratus and maybe a contrail. Very cool...

More than I managed, *. I've posted a dodgy shot of Tesco's car park. I'm hoping for better in the morning.
