Ceasefire? What ceasefire?

Seems Israel just couldn't help itself. Y'know, just got to get the last shot in. Well, they are the chosen people and all -- it's only fair that they have the last word. They wouldn't let it lie, would they...?

Kofi Annan says the ceasefire is very fragile. No shit, Sherlock.

haha, no man I don't trust Israel nor HA. For one they both hate each other, and the other reason is that the decision is not theirs. This is the US/IRAN war, fought through proxys on Lebanese soil.

I just pity the Lebanese Army, and the people who went back home for walking into that trap...
may god protect them. I hope I am wrong though.

_z., it's become more and more clear that this is a proxy war, isn't it? And that's pretty fucking scary.

You're right, though, about the people returning home. I was worried that it was too soon as soon as I heard about it. Like you, I hope I'm wrong...

Or is this war to divert our attention away from what continues to happen elsewhere?
Bush has been getting increased heat about the loss of lives in the whole Iraq/Iran/Afganistan thing...and the collective north american public has the attention span of goldfish.
It's easy to do.

That's funny that this war could be a diversionary tactic, when now even more diversionary tactics are being employed to take attention of the war!
