Skin news... kind of

Shelley Jackson has updated her Skin website, and there's a progress update, too. That means we're getting somewhere.

Readers from way back may recall that I have already had my word tattooed.

But Jackson says she is still looking for candidates, and it's still not too late to apply, so if you are looking to get an interesting tattoo, check out the guidelines on her site.

Sounds interesting. I already have a tattoo on my back and I've been thinking about having another one for a long time. I suppose it depends on what the 'word' is. Did you get to choose?

No choice in the matter. You'll get what she gives you and be thankful for it, maybe even punctuation and all. I got a "period" at the end of my word.

dude! that is cool as fuck. No wait. not cool...unique? I don't know how to describe that. The description on her site is very powerful. I'm gonna apply to be a word. That's so abstract and almost anti-existentialist...

so waht word are you? Do you think someone in America can apply? I guess I'll find out...

P.S. just saw your Christina Scabbia post. I (well, me & my band) got to open for Lacuna Coil a year or so ago when they were on a break from The Warped Tour (I think...or was it Vans?). Anyway. Cool as fuck and even hotter in person. Although, also very very short...

Yeah, definitely US residents can apply: she's based in NY, so that's probably where most applicants are anyway.

I'm a bit overprotective of my word at the moment, so until I know that she's got me all logged in and stuff, I'm keeping it to myself. Or maybe I won't. But once I reach a decision to reveal, I'll post a pic here.

I wasn't sure whether the Scabbia was very very short or that Slipknot guy was like 9 feet tall. Nice support slot, though.
