Pop quiz: Green Day

Topic of conversation round at ours the other night: which member of Green Day would you most like to be friends with?

Wife asked me. I said Mike Dirnt. She agreed.

Good question. I don't know much about the lads themselves but im curiously hesitant to say Billy Joe. Too much near the media I suppose. I'd opt for Tre Cool, he looks like a laugh and I'd like to meet his posh girlfriend.

Yeah, I'm just not sure about Billy Joe. I don't know why, either. And Tre Cool, while funny, might annoy me after a while. All I know is that he once got a budgie stoned (or some type of caged bird anyway). Which is funny, but it might get old real quick. But doesn't he look just like Jeff Daniels?

I figured I could talk tattoos with Mike for quite a long time and swap notes on favourite types of vests or something.

Oh, I was kinda busy these few days...Look at what I've missed...Green Day, luv 'em.

Okay, my first responce would be Billy Joe. He is the one who writes the words, and appears to want to talk more. Next would be Tre, but only for a short time. Only because I don't think I could keep up with his blunt consumption. Lastly, would be Mike. He seems kinda quiet. In social situations, I tend to be the quiet one (yeah, right you say) so I would feel too much pressure to keep the conversation going.
As for the Jeff Daniels link...Next time I see Mr. Daniels in town (he lives about 15 minutes away from me), I'll ask him if he is Tre. That should go over nicely.

Hey Camie. Welcome back. Good point about BJ being the talker, but Mikey last? No one puts Mikey in the corner, surely?

And don't tell me you've never considered the Jeff Daniels lookalike thing...?

No, never really noticed the lookalike thingy. I checked at IMBd to see what the last movie I saw him in was. Pleasantville in '98 was it. I also saw The Hours in '02, but his part was small...Around here, in town, he doesn't look like he does in the movies. He often wears a scraggly beard, with scruffy hair. He also puts on a few pounds, and without all the make-up he is kind of ruddy in the face. Geez, those adjectives don't make him sound good, do they? I'm still gonna ask him if he is Tre the next time I see him. He bristles noticably when people realize who he is...The Tre thing should throw him off a bit.
